Bargain Bliss exploring: Unlocking affordable adventures

We all LOVE the idea of travelling the world and exploring new cultures but don’t like the massive issues that come with it like the price tag. In this blog, I am going to share my 8 favourite travel tips as someone who has travelled to over 15 countries.

Number 1 – Establishing the right type of holiday for you:

So, before you even open up Google and start looking for hotels, you need to figure out what type of holiday you want whether it’s a beach holiday, sightseeing holiday, or your own kind of holiday. This helps you to identify the type of schedule you will need to create.

Number 2 - Pack smart and light:

Travelling light not only saves you money on baggage fees but also gives you the freedom to move around easily. Pack versatile clothing items that can be mixed and matched, and consider packing a reusable water bottle, a travel towel, and a small first aid kit to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Number 3 - Travel like a local with cheap thrills and hidden delights:

Do you want to experience the heart of the culture? Travel like a local! Instead of relying solely on tourist hotspots, dive into the local culture and immerse yourself in the daily life of the community. Explore the markets, and hop on public transportation to get a true taste of local life. These experiences not only save you money but also provide an authentic and unforgettable adventure.

Number 4 – Try Street eats and New culinary adventures:

Eating on a budget doesn't mean sacrificing flavour and deliciousness. Unleash your inner foodie by discovering the world of street eats, and local delicacies. Wander through food markets and try out affordable yet scrumptious street food. Be careful though this can cause stomach aches if you are not used to the country’s food.

Number 5 - Fun and free activities:

Who says adventure comes with a hefty price tag? Discover the array of free and low-cost activities awaiting you. Lace-up your walking shoes for urban exploration, hike breathtaking trails with stunning views, or hit the beach for some sun-soaked fun. Check out free walking tours, visit parks and gardens, and embrace the local art scene. Maybe even try and orientate your schedule around local festivals that may be happening.

Number 6 - Avoid Tourist Traps:

Tourist traps are notorious for charging high prices. Avoid eating, shopping, or booking activities in an overly touristy area. Look for hidden gems and authentic experiences at lower prices.

Number 7- Cook your own meals:

If you have access to a kitchen or kitchenette in your accommodation, take advantage of it. Visit local markets and grocery stores to buy fresh ingredients and cook your meals. Not only will you save money, but you'll also get a chance to experiment with local flavours and cuisine.

Number 9: UTILISE INCOGNITO MODE!

Websites, especially travel ones, track you through your cookies and whenever you click on particular sites, once they have this information, they inflate the prices since they know you are looking for holidays. This may be a reason why you and your friends see different prices for the same flights. Using a private browser means they cannot track it, and you can find the best deals!

These are my little words of wisdom that I am going to pass on to you! Happy travelling.
